Chuck Jones animated the characters from MGM's Wizard of OZ to introduce weekly family oriented films in this anthology series. This DVD presents the complete movie, "Island of the Lost", in two hour-long episodes (originally airing November 10 and November 17, 1967 on ABC-TV). Watch as an anthropologist and his family become shipwrecked on a strange island where they encounter prehistoric tigers and gill sharks. Along the way they meet a young native boy who has been left to fend for himself as a test of manhood by his tribe. The movie was produced by Ivan Tors, directed by Richard Carlson and John Floria, and stars Richard Greene, Mark Hulswit, Jose De Vega, Robin Mattson, Irene Tsu, and Luke Halpin. This DVD features the original animated openings and bumpers and includes the original commercials. Daws Butler and June Foray provide voices.
